The current trend of trying to automate everything is perplexing. Sure, you can gain some efficencies by establishing processes that alleviate setting up every project from scratch, but requiring package managers and numerous terminal commands feels unnecessarily complex.
Granted, some projects may require that level of complexity, but for the average project, it carries a high cost of entry.
Personally, I much prefer keeping things as simple and streamlined as possible to allow people to jump in with relative ease.
